Science Meets Sweet Escape
Exploring the Unexplored: Science and Applications of Medicinal Plants

Human, animal, and plant health, climate change, and food security are among the most pressing challenges of our time. Medicinally active plants and natural products hold extraordinary potential to improve health and well-being while addressing these global concerns.

Join us for the 14th Annual Conference of the American Council for Medicinally Active Plants (ACMAP), hosted by Penn State’s Center for Cannabis & Natural Product Pharmaceutics and the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences at Penn State University. This year’s meeting promises to be a vibrant gathering where scientists, researchers, and professionals share discoveries from the lab, the field, and beyond—showcasing innovations that can transform lives in communities around the world.

Our 2026 conference will spotlight cutting-edge advances in plant bioactive compounds, health, nutrition, and the rapidly growing fields of hemp and medicinal cannabis. Together, we will explore the frontiers of both basic and applied research, highlighting how science in medicinally active compounds translates into meaningful impacts on society.

We invite you to share your work through oral or poster sessions, submit full papers for consideration in the Journal of Medicinally Active Plants (JMAP), and connect with colleagues who share your passion for harnessing the power of plants to improve lives and strengthen communities.
And what better place to gather than Hershey, Pennsylvania—where groundbreaking research and chocolate-scented air come together.

We look forward to welcoming you to a conference that promises to be as inspiring as it is unforgettable.
